Saint Lucia EMT Students Receive International Accredited Certification

Castries, Saint Lucia, February 1st, 2015 - The Joint Governance and Program Management Committee wishes to inform the public that Emergency Medical Technician students who were recipients of the International Accredited Certification of Course Attendance and Completion from the Pasco Hernando State College in affiliation with the Center for EMS Education received their Certificates on Saturday January 16, 2016 at a special certificate presentation ceremony by representatives of the Pasco Hernando State College which is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. NEMO to host consultation on National Tsunami Plan 25th March & Participate in "Caribe Wave Exercise"

Castries, Saint Lucia, March 21st, 2014 - The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will host a consultation to develop a National Tsunami Contingency Plan on Tuesday 25th March, 2014 and will participate in the ‘Caribe Wave Exercise’ on Wednesday 26th March, 2014. A number of public officers, private sector and other coastal stakeholders will participate in this consultation and exercise.

Cruise Lines help Saint Lucia get back on track, reports Prime Minister

Castries, Saint Lucia, November 8th, 2010 ( Saint Lucia Tourism Update) - Cruise liners which sailed in support of Saint Lucia's communities affected by Hurricane Tomas were thanked by the island's Prime Minister yesterday.

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association and its member lines quickly restored cruise business in the wake of the October 30 hurricane and also shipped in humanitarian assistance for affected Saint Lucians.
