CDEMA's message for International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction 2021 Today is International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), recognized each October 13th to garner international support to build resilience across the planet.
Executive Director of CDEMA Elizabeth Riley shares the importance of DRR in the Caribbean, in the face of Climate Change. This year has shown the importance of strengthened DRR strategies, as the region faced a major volcanic eruption, earthquake and above normal hurricane season in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
