According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami, Florida, as of 8:00 PM (AST) on September 12, 2018, the center of Tropical Storm Isaac was located near latitude 15.4 North, longitude 57.2 West. Isaac is moving toward the west near 20 mph (31 km/h).
On the forecast track, Isaac is forecast to move across the central Lesser Antilles and into the eastern Caribbean Sea on Thursday, and move across the eastern and central Caribbean Sea through Saturday.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 175 miles (280 km) from the centre.
